Why does the app ask permission to schedule alarms?
iOS requires this permission for real alarms that ring even in silent mode. Without it, Bible Alarm can't wake you.
Can I use my iPhone's built-in Sleep alarm instead?
Yes — pair Bible Alarm with a Shortcuts automation ("When my alarm is stopped") and it will read your verse right after your native alarm.
Do I need a YouVersion account?
Only for some features. Alarms, Bible reading, and the Verse of the Day work without an account — but highlighting verses to save them for your alarms requires signing in with a free YouVersion account, since your highlights are stored with that account.
