Bible Alarm · Effective August 13, 2026
Bible Alarm is built to be private by design. The short version: your data stays on your device, we run no servers, no analytics, no ads, and we never sell or share your information.
Everything you create in Bible Alarm is stored locally on your iPhone and nowhere else:
Deleting the app deletes this data.
Spoken verse audio is generated by an AI voice model that runs entirely on your device. Your alarms, verses, and voice audio are never sent to any AI service or server, and nothing you do in Bible Alarm is used to train any AI system.
Bible Alarm displays Bible text and the Verse of the Day using the official YouVersion Platform. Signing in with a YouVersion account is required to highlight and save verses: your highlights are stored with that account so they persist for you. Alarms, Bible reading, and the Verse of the Day all work without signing in. YouVersion handles your account information (such as your name and email) under the YouVersion Privacy Policy. Bible Alarm keeps your sign-in token on your device and never sees your password.
You can remove your sign-in at any time with Settings → Delete Account in the app, which signs you out, clears cached highlights from your device, and links you to YouVersion's account-deletion instructions for removing your data from YouVersion itself.
The app contacts YouVersion's servers only to fetch Bible text, translations, and the Verse of the Day. These requests are not used to track you.
Optional one-time gifts are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. Bible Alarm never sees your payment information.
Bible Alarm does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app has no accounts of its own, no tracking, and no third-party advertising; the optional YouVersion sign-in is handled by YouVersion under its own privacy policy.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
